My cousin sister and brother in law groove to the beats of salaam-e-ishq. They got married on 29th June 2007, so the love is still fresh :D

The highly adorable dance
The dance performance by the brother of the bride and the groom-to-be.. Look out for the groom-to-be as he gestures to his bride-to-be while dancing.
Dhamaka by the sisters
The dance performance all 6 cousin sisters did for one of my cousin sister's wedding sangeet ceremony. I am in red and the bride-to-be is in yellow.

Saved by a day!
According to the Hindu calendar, which follows the lunar calendar and hence is the same as the Chinese calendar, my birthday falls a day after “Basant Panchmi”. Now you must be wondering what does this hae to do with being saved by a day..
Well it follows that when a child is born on “Krishna Janmashtmi”, he/ she is named Krishna. When a kid is born on “Ganesh Chaturthi”, he is named Ganesh, Vinayak and the kind. I think you get the drift. So a son born on “Basant Panchmi” would be called Basant and a daughter would be called Basanti!
OMG imagine living as Basanti in the 21st centaury.. Especially after the movie Sholay. The poor girl would foreer be called as “Basanti tange wali”. Or image hearing “Basanti I love you”, “Basanti weds Hritihik” and the best “Basanti Sriavastava”..
I thank God for pushing me out a day later and saving me the embarrassment of living the Basanti life.
On that note I’ll like to wish Darren and myself Happy Lunar Calendar Birthday!
(2 days left to my Roman calendar birthday.. *wooohooo* )

The Kite Runner
My 2-cents worth: A few small yet important incidences from the book have not been portrayed well, not developed deep enough or simply not been shown in the movie. Results in patchy progress of the story at times. Though I guess only those who read the book would see these differences. One example is how Rehaan Khan finds out about the incident. This fact has not been explained well in the movie though it is so critical further on in the story.
